I had lunch with an author! Rose Kent, the author of Rocky Road and Kimchi and Calamari came to my school. I have read both of her books, and I loved them. Rose talked to us about her journey and how she got to be a writer. It really inspired me. I learned about how hard it really is to be a writer. Its not just a walk in the park! A few days after she talked to my class about writing, a few people and I got invited to have lunch with Rose! She asked us about her writing and gave us advice. It was so cool! She talked to us about how to continue with our writing and to not give up. I will be writing reviews on Rose's books, so stay tuned!
